Global Watch February

The idea of leadership is often associated with someone standing at the helm shouting out orders or being on stage making speeches or receiving awards. Over the past two years leading a team of teachers, therapists, and social workers to meet the needs of children with developmental disabilities, Joy has discovered that a leader looks nothing like those images described above. Being a leader is more often being a shepherd or a gardener, meticulously taking care of those around you. Through the sweat and tears, and through the empty harvest, there is joy.
